Catholic Community
April 2-9, 2023

Saint Martin’s Eucharistic Table is open to all, whether you’ve expressed your Christianity as a Catholic for your entire life, or you used to be Catholic or were never Catholic. Visit us to learn about our growing Saint Martin of Tours Catholic Community and the Catholic Apostolic Church in North America (CACINA), our national church. See what we’re about!  I pray that our experience of Holy Week for 2023 will draw us ever closer to the heart of God.

In Christ's love,

Mother Barb.

Holy Thursday

Mass of the

Last Supper

Thursday, April 6, 2023,

7:00 p.m.

This year, the Holy Thursday liturgy will be the Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper combined with Tenebrae (there will be no foot washing this year). This solemn liturgy celebrates the priesthood of Jesus. It is our time to be with Jesus as he was in the Garden of Gethsemane. Following the Liturgy of the Eucharist, Tenebrae readings will take us from light into darkness. The altar is then stripped before we leave the chapel in silence.

Good Friday

Prayer Service

Friday, April 7, 2023,

7:00 p.m.

Good Friday takes us straight to the cross, where, out of love and mercy, Jesus dies for us. No Mass is celebrated on Good Friday, but we will spend this time in prayer, reflecting on the Seven Last Words of Christ, followed by veneration of the cross and distribution of Holy Communion.

Easter Sunday Mass

Sunday, April 9, 2023, 10:30 a.m.

Easter is not simply one feast among others but the “Feast of all feasts.” On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, rising from the tomb into his glorious life. The great happiness of Jesus’ triumph sends waves of joy worldwide. The entire Body of Christ begins the Easter Season on this day by proclaiming the most ancient of Christian greetings: "Christ is risen, alleluia!"
